Happy First Anniversary!!! blogg-ed at 10:05 PM
It's been exactly a year and five days ago when I made my very first post here at blogger. At a loss for a nice name for my blog, I thought starstudded-sky was pretty neat, thus everything in my first blog layout was either purple or decorated with stars. A few months later, I decided to design yet another layout, a black and red imageless combo which I created with a little experimentation. I also added a tagboard to replace the obsolete guestbook. I then discovered blogskins, a really nice website with a vast array of skins, one of which I decided to adopt as my new layout. After a few months, I went back to designing layouts and came up with my current skin, [b][e][a][u][t][y]+[s][o][u][l] ver. 1. I made two other layouts adhering to the same concept which both came unpublished for the web. With 1800+ hits (exclusive of my own) since August 2004, I think I'm very much successful in putting up a decent blog.

As I mark my first anniversary here at blogland, I've decided to put a close to this chapter of my life. Thus, I will be saying 'goodbye' to starstudded-sky.0catch.com - my home for the last 12 months of my blogging life.

But, here's the better part:

I will be putting up an entirely new blog (with an entirely new look and address to boot) in place of this blog. I will be launching my new site tomorrow, April 1. So, please DO check back and update your links. The new blog has basically the same features: tagboard, comments, links, etc. with the exception of pop-ups. Yes! We'll be all saying goodbye to these annoying pop-ups. Once and for all, I've decided to get rid of them.

And so, I bid farewell to my trusty old blog who kept me company through thick and thin for the last 12 months. As for my visitors, I am hoping to see you again in my new blog.

Kudos to all.

And see yah at my new home.

this time i'm really FREE... blogg-ed at 6:32 PM
... and i mean it.

Finally! March 28, 2005 is slowly drawing to a close. The days of toxicity is finally over. Although there's still the Soc Sci 1 exam on April 5, I can breathe easily already.

No more exams...

No more quizzes...

No more data sheets to submit...

No more videos to edit!

Freedom is in my hands already. But the funny thing is, although I am glad to end this semester, at the same time, I feel a little bit sad. I know I'll be missing a lot things from the previous sem.

Yikes.

Nostalgia.

And I put the blame to my Humanities I professor who revealed his true feelings for the class. I can't help but be deeply touched when he thanked us for being "the bright spot" in his sleazy semester. (Wehe. Kala niyo kung anong klaseng "feelings" noh?)

It was then when I realized I'm gonna miss Hum classes too. For the first time in my three-year stay in UPM, I never did once fall asleep in his class. (Well, I didn't for Comm 1, but the thing is, si Dragonessa kasi yung prof ko dun and he's far from being her counterpart.) You know, these days it's hard to keep wide awake in class and it's much more difficult (sorry for the redundancy) to find a professor you'd actually look forward to seeing in class. (Well, save if he's a Tom Cruise look-alike.) I can't remember if he called us a gem, but he sure is one-of-a-kind.

Yikes.

Nostalgia.

On the lighter side of things, my youngest brother was circumcised today (I'm glad he doesn't know this blog exists, otherwise, he's gonna kill me for sure). Geez. Seems like yesterday when I'd place my blue-haired troll next to him ('coz his hair much so look like a troll's).

Another yikes.

Everybody else is growing!!!

All except for me.

to be free blogg-ed at 2:15 AM
A few weeks back, this day was nothing but a dream. Exams and homeworks piled up one after the other simply because I neglected doing them earlier. Project deadlines coincided with exam dates leaving me with less time to accomplish projects AND review for my exams at the same time. In fact, just this Monday, I plunged into an exam having read barely nothing but the three chapter summaries of the pages I should have reviewed. It must have been heaven's will that our professor took it lightly with us and gave us a pretty easy test, otherwise, I could have been dead and rotting by now.

Finally I'm free...

But not for long...

On Monday, we will be viewing our culminating project for Humanities I. It was originally a class effort but my friends and I decided to separate from the majority of the class (it's allowed after all) to make four music videos of our interpretation of the aspects of man. I did the editing and so far, I'm through with the first of three music videos I'm supposed to edit. So far so good. I'm not really pressured too much because I have plenty of time to finish the other two. I just hope everything would go well and I won't bump into a problem or two so everything would run smooth. ^_^ Moving on to other concerns, I still have an exam or two due after the Holy Week depending on whether I'd get exempted for Animal Physiology or not. I heard they decided to lower the exemption grade a little bit and I'm pining to have at least reached the minimum grade for exemption 'coz at the rate my brain's working right now, I'd rather edit music videos than to open my books and notes again.

This Holy Week, I don't feel really holy at all. For the most part, I'm spending my time finishing our project than spending the time for my spiritual obligations. I don't want to feel guilty so I'm just presuming this is my personal way of sacrificing for God. After all, I don't really get to spend my hours playing online games or surfing the net. And it's not that I'm absolutely glad to edit videos either (but I'm glad nonetheless). So there, it's clear that I ain't doing anything wrong 'eh? ^.^

sem-ender blues blogg-ed at 11:33 PM
I don't know if such a term exists, but if it does, it's the most appropriate term that you could apply to my state right this moment.

The end of sem is still a week and a few days away but I feel like it's end of the semester already. It's not that I don't have anything of worth to do, as a matter of fact, it's quite the opposite. Five (or more) exams are still looming beyond the horizon but my brain wants to quit this early already. Tinatamad na ko mag-aral. And it's the kind of laziness that would have otherwise scared you if you have tons of work still pending. Hay naku... It's history repeating itself. The sem-ender blues had hit me once again. I just want to sleep and pretend that I don't have an exam 9 hours from now, but we all know for a fact that I can't keep on doing this. I can't delay reviewing further. I can't bum around in the next few days. I really, absolutely yearn to, but I have to swallow the bitter pill that I can't.

The hell I care with the grade I'm aiming for. I'm tired already and I so... badly... want... to... sleep...

*mnel wakes up* Oh good Lord... What is this I'm blabbering about? *goes to pick up her book and read*

*Bittersweet* blogg-ed at 10:48 PM
My memories of what happened last night was bittersweet. Sweet because Hale's vocalist, Champ Lui-Pio talked to me backstage at their Robinson's Place Ermita gig (and granted me a photo op with him) and bitter because I lost my precious cross-shaped pendant. It's not worth that much but the loooonnnnggg time I spent deciding on whether I'd get it or the star-shaped one is enough to to make me regret why I conceded to a rush of adrenaline instead of maintaining my composure after I had the chance to talk to him. Argh! Talk about regret. *sigh* But as they say, it's no use crying over spilled milk. Although I really am sad over losing it, there's no way I would be able to find it. Might as well, get a new pendant and go on with life. *sigh* Anyway, here's the photo of me, Cheska and Champ Lui-Pio of Hale:

He looks so adorable, don't you think? His eyes are to-die-for!

EJ and I went out to dinner tonight to celebrate. He passed his subjects this semester and he's soon to graduate in summer after he takes two other subjects he missed. Yay! I'm sooo happy for him. Too bad my phone's still at the service center (God knows how long it takes for them to fix it!) and I left my digicam at home so I wasn't able to take a snappie of our dinner. Before we dined out though, we went on a uhh... joyride 'coz I needed to take a video of "everyday" life for our Humanities project. It's really nice our professor moved the deadline after the Holy Week. I thought I'm gonna be dead by the end of the week due to toxicity. *grins*

TOXIC!!! blogg-ed at 7:45 AM
It's barely 11 days 'till classes end and we have at least more than 5 exams (?) to take the whole of next week perhaps. I'm feeling all jittery and nervous. As you may have known from my previous entries since Day 1 of my blogging, I'm not really good at handling stress and piled-up activities. So, excuse me for getting all sabog for the next few days (especially for those I frequently see in school). Aside from the exams I still would have to take to cap the second sem, there's a term paper and a video that we have to pass for Humanities 1. The term paper's okay 'coz I think our professor would waive it soon but the video? Aaarrrgghhh!!! There's so much shoot and lotsa lotsa editing we still have to accomplish. But you know, as they always tell me, I should take this one at a time... lest I end up in PGH's Ward 7.

Oh God. I need all the strength and luck I could muster for the next few days. Wish me luck. Sana buhay pa ko pagkatapos nito.

I'm A-L-I-V-E!!! blogg-ed at 5:41 AM
Yey!!!

I'm back online! Gosh! I missed blogging!!! It's really nice that finally, blogger had fixed their techinical problems and now, I'm back online after a looooong hiatus! as you can see, I've added links to two of my blockmates' sites. Go out and check, rovi and elaine, the two new entries down there.

As you may have noticed, now that blogger's finally functioning, my taggie has started having problems instead! Crap. The downfall of having to rely on free services over the internet. Promise, if I'd win the lottery, I'd buy a reliable webspace for myself! (the problem there is, I don't buy lottery tickets... hehe...)

Today's my mom's birthday. She's only 42. (Just do the math!) I still have no idea what to get her though... I'll have to scour Robinsons Place Manila later for a really nice gift for her. I'm quite busy these days, you see (to say it simply, I get lazy once in a while, hehe).

Right now, I'm very hungry but it's still too early for me to start fixing myself up for class (re: I'm too lazy to get my ass off this chair!). That's the really big problem with me... sometimes I get really lazy to do things right away that's why I have to cram at the last minute and all. Hehe... I hope to outgrow this though.

I'm having err... "cold feet" regarding my plans to go to med school. I dunno. Maybe I'm just afraid of venturing into a whole new world. Or perhaps, I'm just afraid of transferring to another school? That's exactly the disadvantage of having stayed in a single school all through 12 years of your life. You don't really get to learn how to adjust in a new environment. Well, at least for me, that's my case. I may not look like it but I'm really a timid person when I'm surrounded by new faces. Hehe. For sure my friends won't believe that. Hay. Crap.

WHAAAATTT??? It's 5:41 already! Where did the time go? I'm supposed to be taking a bath this minute. But really, I'm serious, where does time go after it is... err... "consumed"?
